Seminar: “Dental Tourism – Development Potential”

On the morning of June 28, 2025, in Sa Đéc City, the seminar “Dental Tourism – Development Potential” was successfully held, with the honor of welcoming a large and diverse group of delegates from various professional fields.

The event featured the presence of leading experts in the field:

  • Meritorious Physician, Prof. Dr. Võ Trương Như Ngọc – Vice Director, Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Institute of Odonto-Stomatology Training – Hanoi Medical University; President of the Vietnam Pediatric Dentistry Association.
  • Meritorious Physician, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trương Nhựt Khuê – Head of the Department of Odonto-Stomatology, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Representing the leadership of Đồng Tháp Province, the seminar was honored to welcome:

  • Mr. Phạm Văn Chuẩn – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.
  • Ms. Huỳnh Thị Hoài Thu – Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
  • Meritorious Physician, Specialist Level II Dr. Đoàn Tấn Bửu – Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Health.

The discussion gathered many valuable insights on the orientation for developing dental tourism in Đồng Tháp, emphasizing the necessity of close collaboration between the healthcare and tourism sectors, as well as the development of integrated service packages tailored to international visitors—especially overseas Vietnamese.

The event was widely regarded as a strategic starting point, affirming the strong potential and opening up promising prospects for the sustainable development of the dental tourism model in the Mekong Delta region.
