A Personal Reflection Shared by Specialist Level II Doctor Pham Kim Thanh:<\/span><\/div>\n
“<\/span>Throughout my years in the profession, I have met many young people who ask:<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
\n

“What career should I choose to be successful?”, “What profession should I pursue to earn a lot of money?”, “Which career would be less demanding?”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

These are all very practical questions.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

But in my opinion, there is an even more important question:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Which profession is truly right for me?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Because success does not come solely from choosing the right profession; it also comes from having the perseverance to stay committed to that profession throughout a long journey.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I have always believed that no profession is inferior.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A dedicated doctor deserves respect. But a sanitation worker who keeps the streets clean every day deserves just as much respect. A farmer who produces clean food. A mechanic who creates quality products. A teacher devoted to students. A driver who safely brings passengers to their destinations. Each person contributes to making society better in their own way.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A person’s value does not lie in their title or academic degree. It lies in their character, responsibility, and the way they dedicate themselves to their profession. In the end, society remembers the value we create, not merely who we are.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I believe young people do not necessarily need to choose the most prestigious career or the one that generates wealth the fastest. Choose a profession that matches your abilities, personality, and aspirations. Once you have chosen, commit yourself to doing it well.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Be better than you were yesterday. More professional than yesterday. More creative than yesterday.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Do not settle for doing just enough. Do not merely do what everyone else is doing.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Make your profession more meaningful. Make it more valuable. Help society view your profession with greater respect.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Throughout my professional journey, I have realized that anyone who wants to go far in any profession needs at least four things:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Passion, to find the motivation to begin.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Discipline, to keep going when challenges arise.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Perseverance, to overcome obstacles.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And lifelong learning, to avoid being left behind.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Every path has its difficulties. No one succeeds through talent alone. Those who go the furthest are often the most persistent.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I truly love the image represented by the phrase, \u201cEvery profession is a flower.\u201d Every flower is beautiful, but every flower needs time to bloom.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Some flowers bloom very early. Others take much longer.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

People are no different.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Some achieve success at a very young age. Others need years of learning, accumulating experience, and growing before reaching their potential.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

What matters is not whether you bloom early or late. What matters is understanding where you are on your own journey: learning, accumulating experience, growing, or reaching the stage where it is time to contribute.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Once we understand this, we become less impatient, more persistent, and more focused on improving ourselves every day.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And perhaps the message I most want to share with young people is this:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Do not worry too much about what profession you will choose. Focus instead on what kind of person you will become within that profession.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you become a doctor, be a kind and ethical doctor.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you become a teacher, be a kind and dedicated educator.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you become an engineer, be a principled and responsible engineer.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you become an entrepreneur, be an ethical entrepreneur.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And if you become a sanitation worker, strive to be the best sanitation worker in your neighborhood.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If every day we make a little more effort, learn a little more, become a little better, and show a little more kindness, then one day, the flower will bloom.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Not to compete with anyone. Not to prove anything to anyone. But to become the best version of ourselves.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And when that day comes, we will not only enrich our own lives but also bring honor to the profession we have chosen.<\/span>“<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
