HUMAN CHARACTER BRINGS HONOR TO A PROFESSION
A Personal Reflection Shared by Specialist Level II Doctor Pham Kim Thanh: "Throughout my years in the profession, I have...
Running a business is a journey of making decisions every single day.
Deciding whether to invest or wait. Deciding whether to hire more people or keep the organization lean. Deciding whether to expand or remain cautious. And there is one decision that almost every business faces regularly: Should we provide sponsorship or not?
Every month and every quarter, businesses receive numerous sponsorship requests, official letters, and invitations to partner from government agencies, schools, social organizations, charitable foundations, clubs, and individuals. Most of them are driven by meaningful purposes—supporting communities, helping those in need, and investing in future generations.
That is why choosing where and how to contribute is never an easy decision.
Many people assume that once a business generates revenue, sponsorship becomes a simple matter. However, behind every dollar a business earns lies a long journey of developing products, serving customers, paying employees, fulfilling tax obligations, reinvesting, managing risks, and overcoming ever-changing market challenges.
Sponsorship funds are not idle money. They are the result of hard work, knowledge, responsibility, and countless sleepless nights spent building a business.
Some sponsorships are given with genuine joy because they allow businesses to contribute to the community. Yet there are also requests that businesses must respectfully decline—not because they do not care, but because resources are always limited.
The hardest part is not giving away money.
The greatest challenge is building a sustainable business—one that provides stable jobs for dozens or even hundreds of employees, continues creating value for customers, contributes to the national budget, and remains capable of supporting the community for many years to come.
Therefore, whenever a business chooses to support a program, we hope that gesture of generosity will be appreciated. Please do not look only at the amount donated, but also at the journey behind it.
And if, on some occasions, a business is unable to provide support, we sincerely hope for your understanding. Every decision represents a careful balance between responsibility to society and responsibility for the survival of the business itself.
A healthy business creates more jobs, generates greater value, and ultimately has more opportunities to give back to the community.
We hope to build a culture of partnership founded on mutual understanding and respect.
Because the true value of sponsorship is not measured by the amount of money given, but by the generosity of the giver and the gratitude of the receiver.
