DR. PHAM KIM THANH, SPECIALIST LEVEL II, SHARES INSIGHTS WITH NEW STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS AND INFORMATICS TEACHER EDUCATION, DONG THAP UNIVERSITY

On September 13, 2026, PhD student. Dr. Pham Kim Thanh, Specialist Level II, met with and shared insights with new students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Teacher Education at Dong Thap University about the essential skills and knowledge they need during their university years and on the journey ahead.

During the program, PhD student. Dr. Pham Kim Thanh, Specialist Level II, discussed with students the roles of knowledge, discipline, health, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI), while emphasizing the importance of proactively developing their abilities and personal values throughout their studies and personal development.

For students majoring in Mathematics and Informatics, mathematics helps develop logical thinking, while informatics provides tools to turn ideas into practical products and solutions. In the context of rapid technological development, alongside professional expertise and the ability to use technology, individual responsibility in receiving, verifying, and sharing information is also receiving increasing attention.

In his role as a Digital Trust KOL, PhD student. Dr. Pham Kim Thanh, Specialist Level II, also introduced students to the “TinAI?” initiative, which focuses on using AI proactively and responsibly. Accordingly, users need not only to know how to leverage AI but also to understand when its outputs can be used as references and when information needs to be verified.

Verify First – Trust Later – Share Responsibly was the message shared during the program, encouraging the development of mindful and responsible technology use in the digital environment.

In addition to professional knowledge, new students were encouraged to maintain discipline in their studies, take care of their health, proactively master technology, and pursue goals aligned with their personal development paths.

Every student has a different starting point, abilities, and journey. University years are not only a time to acquire knowledge but also an opportunity for individuals to develop themselves, define their direction, and gradually create positive value for the community.

The meeting provided an opportunity for PhD student. Dr. Pham Kim Thanh, Specialist Level II, faculty members, and new students of Dong Thap University to exchange ideas about learning, technology, and the expectations placed on the younger generation in the digital age.
